I will stamp all over 'credible combatant' Paul - Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight-bout contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "defeat" his opponent as the pair met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world title holder Anthony Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to damage his features and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35 years old, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "a joke" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Targeting Fury

Joshua, meanwhile, took aim at UK rival Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has mostly boxed mixed martial artists or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Commercial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in round four or five and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it emphasized just how surprising this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is really happening.
